THINK Code of Ethics
As Christians we consider the Bible to be the final authoritative basis for faith, values and all
ethics and interventions.
We are committed to providing non-discriminatory services. We will respect the dignity and
values of all those who seek our services. We will provide services to anyone regardless of
race, ethnicity, gender, income, education, occupation, age, sexual behavior or orientation,
social status or religious affiliation.
We conduct ourselves in a Christ-like and professional manner. We are committed to a safe and
judgment free environment. The welfare of those who seek our services is our primary goal.
We are committed to continued education in our areas of expertise and staying abreast of the
latest developments for the services we offer. We will apply our knowledge in the application of
the services we provide for the edification of anyone who seeks our services.
We will discuss clearly, ethically, and professionally all financial arrangements and fees. We will
provide crisis counseling services regardless of a client’s ability to pay.
We are committed to providing unbiased information on the expected benefits and possible
alternatives to our services. This allows individuals to make informed, educated, voluntary
decisions on what services will work best for them.
We will always seek to Do No Harm to anyone who seeks our services or to their interests. We
will never hesitate to provide a referral if it is in the best interest of those seeking our services.
We do not condone harmful behaviors or threats of harm to self or others. We will report abusive
behaviors or threats of abusive behaviors toward children, the mentally impaired and the elderly
persons to the proper authorities. We have an ethical duty to intervene for the sake of protecting
all lives.
We do not condone substance abuse or advocate for substance abuse and other addictive
behaviors, abortion, divorce, premarital or extramarital sexual behavior, homosexuality,
bisexuality or transgenered behaviors, euthanasia or assisted suicide. "However, we will provide services to ALL clients"
For Christian counseling and life coaching confidentiality is a priority. Informed consent is
required prior to services being initiated. This allows us to operate transparently and with
integrity. And it facilitates the client in making an informed and voluntary decision to engage in
the helping process.
