Think Faith Statement

We incorporate a Judeo-Christian worldview in all of the services we offer. We believe that
Jesus Christ is God who came to earth and we also acknowledge that science and the arts also
contain some truthful aspects that are evidenced in the Books of the Bible. As Christian
Counselors, we believe the Holy Bible to be the final authoritative word by which we seek to live
our lives and encourage others to live their lives.

We believe that God is the Creator of all things, seen and unseen. God is eternal. He is the
Alpha and Omega. God is all knowing, all powerful and ever present. We believe that God exists
in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons, yet one God. God desires
a relationship with us. He invites us into a relationship of faith, service, fellowship, and love.

We believe that God manifested himself in human form as Jesus Christ, who was fully God and
fully human. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and he lived a sinless life. He offered himself as
the perfect living sacrifice for the sins of all mankind through his death on the cross. After three
days he physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He will return again to earth
to reign forever with his church.

We believe God sent the Holy Spirit to live inside of all who believe in his Son Jesus Christ.
Those who believe receive the Holy Spirit at the moment of their salvation. The Holy Spirit
empowers us, teaches us, and enables us to bear the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, and temperance). He gives us our gifts.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and without error. The Bible is the authority in all
that we say and do. It is the final authority on all matters contained within it. We believe that the
authors of the Bible were inspired by God, therefore the Bible is true and trustworthy. The Word
of God transcends time and is just as applicable today as when it was first written. We believe in
presenting the Bible message to everyone we contact. While we present the message in a way
that respects all people; we see the Bible as infallible so we will never compromise the
message.

All people are created in the image of God, for a relationship with God. When we sin we break
our fellowship with God. We are no longer walking in the light but in darkness. God is light. The
consequences of sin are not only a broken relationship with God, but destructive consequences
in our spiritual and social lives. There are destructive consequences in this life and beyond.

God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to restore our fellowship with Him and others. Sin was nailed to
the cross with Jesus Christ. Christ’s resurrection enables us to have power over sin. All have
sinned and fallen short. But through the grace of God, those who believe in Jesus Christ’s birth,
death, and resurrection and receive Him as their Lord and Savior, Salvation is given. Salvation
is the free gift of God and cannot come to anyone by good works and a holy life alone. But,
good works and a holy life are a natural product of forgiving, repentant believers. God wishes
that not one of us should perish.
